Message from the Director: RE: NAR’s GREEN BUSINESS NETWORK / WEB SITE ROLLOUT - PHASE II
We are excited to announce that The Green REsource Council will officially unveil NAR’s Green Business Network in early September. We are very proud of this program as it will evolve into an excellent resource for NAR Green Designees. This Network is a member benefit and is exclusively available for Designees only.
So what is NAR’s Green Business Network?
NAR’s Green Business Network serves as a bridge connecting Green Designees to green industry product and service providers. This Network, which will reside on our Web site at www.GreenREsourceCouncil.org, is not available for just any company. There is specific criterion that companies must meet in order to qualify. They must:
- Advance or facilitate green principles, specifically that the product, service or service provider has been certified or designated as having characteristics associated with green principles
or - Demonstrate its commitment to sustainable practices or programs.
The goal is to populate our Network with as many green companies and individuals as possible, thereby providing you with a robust network of green professionals to help you in transactions containing green features and in your day-to-day business operations. Participant companies must fall under the following industry categories in order to qualify:
- Appraisers
- Attorneys
- Consultants
- Contaminant Removers/Remediation: Asbestos, Lead, Mold, Pest, Radon, Soil
- Designers: Architects, Engineers, Interior, Landscape
- Energy Auditors
- General Contractors & Remodelers: Residential, Commercial, Other
- Lenders & Financing
- Marketing: Graphic & Web site Design, Printers/Signs/Banners, Public Relations, Copywriters, Promotional Item Vendors
- Retailers
- Third Party Verifiers: HERS/Energy Star Rater, NAHB Verifier, USGBC Field/Commissioning Agent, Regional/Local Program
- Title Companies
Having these green industry contacts will position you as an agent who can truly be the green resource in all transactions by offering an expanded green network of your own!
